Philips Hue is supported by adding the Philips Hue Bridge as a device. Using the Hue app, you can define lights, groups, and scenes, which can then be imported into the ERC using the Designer. The imported groups and lights are available as light channels. If you make changes to the lights in the Hue system, you need to re-import them for the changes to take effect in the ERC.

When you add a Philips Hue Device, a special channel called hueSceneController is created. This channel allows you to activate a scene from an effect sequence or a script.
Bridge assignment and connection
In the Designer, after a Hue Bridge device is added, it can be assigned by pressing the button on the physical bridge and then selecting Assign in the Designer. An internet connection is required during this process because the ERC Server retrieves the bridge’s IP address through an online query.
Once the bridge is assigned, an internet connection is no longer necessary—as long as the bridge retains the same IP address. Typically, the IP address will remain unchanged, but if it does change, internet access will be required again to resolve the new address. Therefore, keeping the computer running the server connected to the internet is the most reliable way to ensure correct IP address detection.
