Core Escape Room Control System Features

Explore how ERC combines software, hardware, and automation to deliver complete escape room control.

A centralized solution

The ERC (Escape Room Controller) is the brain of your escape room, offering powerful escape room control system features for full automation and flexibility. Realix includes its own hardware, the Realix Pods, which don’t contain puzzle logic. Instead, it relays sensor states to the escape room software and activates outputs like magnetic locks as instructed by the software. To ensure an unforgettable experience for your players, the ERC offers extensive support for lighting and audiovisual media, including DMX, Philips Hue, and media players.

With this escape room software features, your room runs fully automated, yet your game hosts always have full authority. They have insights into detailed puzzle states and can intervene at any moment if needed.

easy setup

Setting up the Realix hardware is simple with automatic discovery and pairing.

When hardware is discovered and added, channels are automatically created. You can then assign logical names to them. That’s it! You can now easily access them in our visual editor without needing to know which external device a particular sensor or output is connected to.

A visual DESIGNER

With all sensors and outputs connected, designing your escape room becomes a purely visual process. Define a puzzle, select the required sensor states for it to be solved, and connect different puzzles using blocks and lines to create a cohesive storyline for your entire escape room experience.

Combine this with the ability to create theatrical sequences with sounds, lights, music, and video, and you have everything needed to craft an unforgettable and unique experience, all from a single visual editor.

Theatrical power

Add lighting, music, and effects to create immersive scenes, one of the most powerful escape room automation system features included in ERC. You gain full control over everything that happens in your room.

The ERC includes a designer for creating theatrical sequences on a timeline, complete with lights, music, sounds, video, and basic outputs. You create these sequences in the flow designer, where you assign them to events such as activations and completions.

You don’t have to be a programmer to achieve a fully integrated experience for your guests!

Fully automated

Once your theatrical sequences and flow are designed, you are done! Your entire room will now run automatically from start to finish.

Puzzles will automatically complete when their sensors are in the correct state, triggering theatrical sequences and activating maglocks and other puzzles.

Gamehost has control

The ERC is a centralized solution, your game hosts always have full control over the room. They can visually track the progress of the group and monitor each puzzle by viewing the individual sensors associated with it. The solution, when added in the designer, is shown in the puzzle details.

Additionally, they can easily trigger theatrical sequences and provide hints via your screens.

If a group struggles too much, your game hosts can override and complete a puzzle with a few clicks of the mouse, without disturbing the rest of your escape room flow.

GUIDED ROOM PREPARATION

Making mistakes in resetting your room can lead to immersion-destroying moments for your guests. That is why ERC offers monitored resets.

Because all sensors can be seen by ERC, it will monitor them during room preparations. Only when all sensors and locks are in their expected states, ERC will show a “Ready to run” message.

If, for example, you leave a door unlocked or leave a puzzle solved, ERC will tell you what you have forgotten.

This attention to detail makes ERC stand out with unique escape room control system features, ensuring reliability and immersion for every game.
