Powering Your Escape Room with Smart Technology
Imagine an escape room where every interaction feels alive—lights dim at the right moment, doors unlock with precision, and multimedia immerses players into a gripping storyline. This is the level of seamless integration we bring to your escape room with our powerful ecosystem of supported devices and systems.
At the core of this experience is our SBUS, a streamlined system designed to minimize cabling and simplify installation. Instead of running separate power and data lines to each device, SBUS Pods—including RFID readers, IO modules, and control devices—are seamlessly chained to the SBUS Box through a single interconnecting cable that carries both power and data. Whether it’s unlocking a compartment with a scanned keycard or triggering a puzzle sequence through an input sensor, SBUS ensures a clean, efficient, and highly reliable escape room setup, reducing complexity while enhancing performance..
For immersive lighting control, we provide direct support for DMX and Philips HUE. From dramatic light reveals to pulsing effects that match in-game progress, our integration allows escape rooms to create stunning visual atmospheres with ease.
To complete the experience, our Media Box, running in kiosk mode on a Raspberry Pi, brings customizable audio, video, and interactive storytelling to life. Whether it’s ambient sounds, video projections, or game state-dependent media playback, this system ensures every detail enhances immersion.
The best part? Our SBUS Box, DMX Box, and Media Box are all auto-discoverable and easy to connect, eliminating complex setups and allowing you to focus on creativity instead of configuration.
With our comprehensive ecosystem, your escape room becomes more than just a game—it transforms into a fully synchronized adventure where technology enhances every moment.
SBUS
SBUS is a smart communication system designed to simplify wiring in your escape room. Instead of running separate cables to each device, SBUS allows multiple devices (pods) to be chained together using Ethernet cables, reducing cable clutter and making installation much easier.
One of the key advantages of SBUS is that both power and communication run through the same cable. External power is only needed for pods that must supply substantial power to connected components—such as electronic locks.
In short, SBUS helps you create immersive escape rooms with minimal wiring hassle!
SBUS/DMX Box
The SBUS/DMX Box is the foundation of our hardware architecture, combining SBUS and DMX functionality in a single device. A switch allows it to be configured as either an SBUS Controller or a DMX Controller, enabling the ERC software to automatically recognize it as an SBUS Box or a DMX Box accordingly.
No complex setup is required—the SBUS/DMX Box automatically integrates with our ERC software, eliminating the need for manual configuration. This intelligent auto-detection extends beyond the box itself to all connected pods, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
Setting up your escape room is effortless: simply select the SBUS/DMX Box and the desired pods in the designer, and you’re ready to start assigning interactive objects. Bring your escape room to life with ease, efficiency, and reliability!
IO Pod
Handles up to 2 inputs for digital and analog sensors, along with 6 digital I/O’s. Connects to sensors, buttons, or output devices. Features two connectors for easy integration with Gravity series sensors.
Control Pod
Powered by and external power source source drives 2 digital or analog (PWM) outputs and 2 digital inputs. Perfect 2 connect 2 locks and 2 door sensors. Can also drive low voltage led lights PWM controlled.
RFID Pod
This pod integrates an RFID reader to detect the placement of RFID-tagged objects. Ideal for puzzles where players must position specific objects in designated locations.
Media Box
The Media Box brings your escape room to life with audio, video, images, and hints, seamlessly integrating into your game. Running on a Raspberry Pi in kiosk mode, it features auto-discovery like our SBUS and DMX Boxes, making setup effortless.
With the Realix Designer, you can easily organize and control multimedia content. Choose our ready-to-use hardware for a plug-and-play experience, or download the software for free to install on your own Raspberry Pi.
Beyond media playback, the web-based interface allows full customization, letting you personalize the look and even add interactive controls. Create custom buttons or keypads that function as in-game inputs, triggering puzzles and interactions.
Philips Hue
Connect your Hue Bridge(s) to ERC, and your lights will be automatically detected. You can control individual lights or entire groups effortlessly. Additionally, you can create custom scenes, import them into ERC, and trigger them within your game.
Custom Service
If you need custom functionality or direct programming control, the system can be extended via a TCP interface. This allows you to send and receive control and multimedia commands, enabling seamless integration with your own hardware or a custom-built media player. With this interface, you achieve the same level of integration as our officially supported systems and devices, ensuring a smooth and flexible escape room experience..
